Setup a professional Email account

Using a provider like Gsuite (Google) or Office365 (Microsoft) the stability of your business email will be solid. Any downtime on your business communication can be very disruptive. I am sure I do not need to tell you that business disruption can come with a price tag.

It looks better and more stable when a business has taken the time to set up a professional email account. It shows you take pride in your business and have invested in a professional environment.

Litigation, when asked to disclose your email it is best to disclose the business account opposed your personal email address

No matter if you are using Gsuite or Office365 you can create email groups. An email group is a free email address like [email protected]. You then add the members to that group that will receive any communication sent to that address. Groups are normally free and a good way to keep your department's emails clean and sent to the right members of your team. Having companies email you directly works well when you are a small business but as you grow it will become problematic

When deciding whether to use Gsuite or Office365, one must consider the following.

  • Does your business require the Microsoft Office software Word, Excel, Outlook. Office365 has a higher price tag but offers more features that bit a larger size business.
  • If your business does not need software then the price and solution Gsuite offers is a great fit. Personally, I use Gsuite myself and have been extremely satisfied.

Setting up a professional email account is easy to take on.
